Inventory Control Specialist

Position Overview:

Manage and coordinate with production, shipping, and the Materials group to direct issue to work orders to ensure the proper amount and items are issued to production.


Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Responsibility for issuing raw materials and components to production to fulfill production work orders.

  • When production work order is complete, cycle count all items returned and give results to Director of Supply Chain.

  • Print and organize by date Bill of ladings for shipping.

  • Receive incoming shipments from vendors and put into the proper location.

  • Cycle counts components and finish goods weekly.

  • Establishes procedures and best practices for assuring the highest level of quality, reliability and product safety.

  • Coordinates production planning, shipping, receiving and purchasing activities.

  • Monitoring and controlling raw material and finished goods through cycle counting.

  • Able to problem solve using 8D process.

  • Must be able to operate a forklift.

  • Inspect and observe operation to ensure conformance and compliance with operational and safety standards.

  • Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.

  • Using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether processes comply with regulations or standards.

  • Deliver projects on time, within budget and with the highest technical quality.

  • Using computers and computer systems to process information

  • Must Support EMS Policy and initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • 2 Year Degree preferred

  • 2 - 5 years of inventory control experience in manufacturing environment.

  • APICS certification preferred

  • ERP System experience preferred

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Keeping up to date technically and the ability to apply new knowledge quickly.
